Now it is time to come up with a hypothesis. Hypothesis is just a fancy word for an educated guess. In other words, what do you think the answer to your question is. To put it another way, what do you think is the likely outcome of your investigation.

Let's say your question is, "What is the effect of temperature on tadpole development?" Your hypothesis is what YOU think the effect is. In our example your hypothesis might be, "Tadpole development will be best at temperatures between 25 and 30 degrees Celsius, while the tadpoles will develop more slowly or not at all as the the temperature drops below this range."

Don't forget to include in your Project Log the development of your hypothesis!
